Bamboo as a natural, ecofriendly product and the iPhone as a high–end technical device seem to connect most appropriately with a technical formal language like the repetitive structure that can be found in the inner core of bamboo.
Inspired by the structure of bamboo, we developed a couple of patterns, which are closely connected to the structure of bamboo. Therefore, the formal language also reconnects with the structures that can be found in architectural constructions with bamboo.
This project was developed with the visual artist Sandra Lange in four 3 Month Pop–Up Studio in New York for the bamboo cases from Grove.
